With the down turn of the economy, budget cuts throughout the country, increased layoffs, etc., more and more Americans are feeling the crunch and being left hungry. Those going hungry are families, children and single parents and the donation of venison can help feed these people. Welcome to the Venison Donation Coalition website. Half a million pounds of venison
Many farmers, hunters, processors, partners, individuals and sportsmen's federations, have assisted the Venison Donation Coalition with their efforts. Since 2000, together they coordinated the collection and distribution of nearly 500,000 pounds of ground venison - highly nutritious, low fat, high protein meat - for distribution by food banks to those in need. This year's goal is to provide an additional 100 thousand pounds.
